Club Minutes for the AGM held on Monday 12 November 2007

Members Present Mike Crawshaw, Benny Drummond, Mike Stansfield, Andrew Dallas, Clive Carass, Neil Blaken, Karl Jancowicz, Dan Thirkell, Trevor Kettlewell, Chris Briscoe, Neil Carass, Rob Murray, Chris Sladen, Joe Wilson, Andy Parker, Wilf Wigglesworth

Apologies Craig Eustace, Mark Reed.

The Secretary welcomed Members to the meeting and all stood for a minutes silence in memory or our friend, fellow cricketer and club Chairman – Chris Stansfield.

Secretary’s Report The Secretary commended the Benny on the excellent ground and wicket produced throughout the year and thanked him for all his hard work.

The continued development of the junior section of the club was welcomed and the coaches thanked for their commitment to the future playing members of the club.

Treasurers Report The Treasurer presented the audited accounts and noted that there was still £400 income outstanding from subscriptions and members were asked to settle any outstanding accounts asap.

The accounts were accepted and the Treasurer and Auditor (Neil Burtwistle) were thanked.

Junior Reports The Under 11’s were the only Team in a league and finished runners up, a fantastic performance by all the lads. Some of them also played for the 3rd Team which is good development for them. The Secretary acknowledged all the help and support from the coaches.

Election of Officers The President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer and Joint Secretaries were re-elected on bloc. Andrew Dallas was elected Chairman.

Competition and League Entry After a short discussion, it was agreed not to enter the Village Knockout, Hawkes Cup or Ripon Knockout.

Subscriptions and Match Fees Following some discussions, the match fees and subscriptions were held for 2008 (detailed below)

Saturday fees for 1st, 2nd and 3rd Teams £6 adult, £4 over 15 not working
£3 under 15, Evening League for A and B Teams £2 adult, £1 over 15 not working/junior.

Subscriptions £35 adult playing more than 4 games on Saturday’s.
£17.50 over 15 not working/junior playing more than 4 games on Saturday’s.
£17.50 adult playing more than 3 games in the evening league
No subscriptions for juniors in the evening league.

Sponsorship and Fundraising Chris Briscoe agreed to write to acknowledge and thank sponsors and to ask for further support.

It was agreed that Race Night would be held with the same organizing committee.

Wilf Wigglesworth also confirmed that he would be running a ‘Fur n feather’ event on the 14th December and asked for raffle prices.

The Members thanked Wilf and all the other members of the fundraising team for their continued support.

Wicket Maintenance The ground has again performed very well and a vote of thanks was made to Ben for his continued hard work. The usual winter maintenance of scarifying, reseeding and topdressing has taken place.

Sports Field Trust Update An appeal has been very successful raising £2,000 from a letter sent to villages with a further £1,000 received on standing order.

Annual Dinner Dance Mike Crawshaw announced that the dinner dance would be on the first Friday of December at the Ripon Spa Hotel (7th December). Tickets would be £27.00 and free tickets would be given to the Tea Ladies. Members voted for it to be a black tie event.
